Lake Superior Community Health Center is partnering with the City of Duluth and other partners to seek state funding to support planning and pre-design for a regional, multi-purpose community center.

A report issued last week notes that residents of rural areas and small towns are more likely to rely on Medicaid for health coverage compared to urban residents.

The US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released its Annual Homelessness Assessment Report (AHAR) to the U.S. Congress last month. The Report provides nationwide estimates of homelessness, including information about the demographic characteristics of homeless persons, service use patterns, and the capacity to house homeless persons.

MNACHC welcomes Dr. John Pearson as the new CEO of Open Cities Health Center in St. Paul. Dr. Pearson comes to OCHC with FQHC experience in Florida and New Mexico.

The Wilder Foundation released its triennial study last week to better understand homelessness's prevalence in Minnesota. One of the more alarming findings in the report is the overrepresentation of Native Americans experiencing homelessness and unsheltered homelessness.
